Koetter Fire Protection of Houston is growing! We are looking to employ, train, and develop individuals for several career opportunities in a variety of positions. Koetter Fire Protection’s seven Texas locations are looking for individuals interested in developing careers in life safety services. Koetter’s range of available positions include apprentices (entry-level), licensed technicians (intermediate-level), and foremen, inspectors, designers, and sales (advanced-level).

Fire Alarm Apprentice – Service: Houston, TX

Job Description and Duties:
Assist in the installation and repair of fire alarm systems. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other tasks as assigned.

  • Learn the trade of Fire Alarm Inspection/Maintenance/ Service through hands-on work, classroom learning and self-studies.
  • Become skilled at servicing and inspecting fire alarm systems per NFPA 72 standards as well as national, state, and local codes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including attending training classes when offered.
  • Learn to comprehend and apply information such as shop drawings, diagrams, schematics, submittals, software/systems, programs, and operation/product manuals.
  • Adhere to all OSHA, customer and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate cooperation, teamwork, and a commitment to professional and organizational development.

Outside Sales Representative – Greater Houston Area

As Koetter Fire Protection continues to grow in 2022, we are looking to employ and train individuals for several career opportunities. Our Sales Representatives work with some of the most interesting and high-profile customers in our market. Each salesperson has a base salary with an additional commission incentive. Our team members are expected to be solution providers, not just salespeople. They provide genuine customer service with a focus on code driven inspections and repairs. Sales representatives will develop new prospects and maintain contact with established customers, regularly visiting them at their site of business. If developing personal relationships with your customers and delivering the best service in the industry is your priority, we are looking for you.

In this role you will:

  • Meet or exceed assigned annual sales
  • Generate team leads and provide input on processes and market opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and recommending Koetter’s services tailored to their business objectives
  • Participate in training sessions, trade shows and sales meetings
  • Ensure up-to-date, accurate customer records including contacts and project details
